Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC), Glasgow
The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) is ione of the most iconic and well known buildings in Scotland.
Originally built in the mid 80's the client experienced roof leaks almost from day one and decided it was time to consider an option for re-roofing. Working closely with the clients appointed architect and Sarnafil we develpped a scheme everyone was happy with.
Due to the value involved the project was copetitively tendered and despite not being the cheapest we were chosen by the client to complete the works starting with a trial area of 2,500m2, which was completed and left for 18 months to satisfay the client the system worked.
Once convinced we were then instructed to completed the remainder of the roof, approx 18,000m2 to the same specification and quality accepted on phase 1.
